I read the Tatiana Schlossberg essay and I don’t think I’ll stop shaking any time soon. It’s not just rage—she got at a deeper sort of grief that our very real but still cartoon villains could not possibly comprehend

Pennywise finally returned on this week’s #itwelcometoderry.

Here’s my take on a sewer heavy episode of the HBO series

Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) makes his debut on IT: Welcome to Derry in an episode that takes the action into the sewers below “Neibolt Street”.

This part of Thoughts and Prayers, the new doc on HBO about the industry that’s grown around school shootings, wrecked me. I’ve been thinking about it all day.

Seriously, just one of the best onscreen presences to ever grace the silver screen. The definition of raw magnetism. RIP, Udo.

On the great Boris Karloff’s birthday, I’ll suggest you watch his final, and overlooked film, Targets, because it is damn good. Then you can read my piece about it.

It’s blowing my mind that schools, universities, public services would run headlong into this. We spent 15 years documenting black boxes. This is a black box in a black hole!
I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

I’ve been doing chores most of the day. This is the first time I’ve sat on the couch. As always, Otis has been following me around the house. Now, he’s giving me this face, groaning or whining, because the squeaky toy is under the coffee table. I just want to sit for 5 mins, goober.

The country music my neighbor listens to is really just “I’m white and don’t live in a city or like city people,” over and over and over.

The most boring variety of music on the planet, with the possibility of a tie with Muzak.

Maxine is right. I keep seeing press photos for both, and got confused.
jayme’s been doing press for THE RUNNING MAN. she’s not in OBAA.
Jayme Lawson is doing the press tour and red carpets for One Battle After Another. It’s like a little pick me up, every time I see the photos from it, so I thought I’d share this one with yall, in case it works the same way for you.
