Had a feeling this was the case but went and looked it up for real: built my current desktop in November 2020 and the parts then came to $4,018.52. Thanks to the crypto/AI bros ruining everything good the exact same part list would run me $5430.35. My computer is 5 years old and has appreciated 35%
