All these stupid bans are doing is taking away social life and safety nets from vulnerable teens, be they queer or disabled.
Very telling that the Guardian Weekly article showing teenagers' reactions to Australia's social media ban have a bunch of healthy kids saying "Annoying but no biggie, I can wait two years" and one very disabled one saying "welp there goes my entire world."

the thing abt movie theaters is, it's not the crowd that makes it important in specific, but in aggregate; being part of a swell of people ambiently inclined in favor or against invariably holds some measure of impact on how you feel during/about a film. and if the theater's right, that's the magic.
