It took me literally seconds to look up the yacht and see that Rowling didn't buy it until 2023 (reminder: Epstein died in 2019).

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but tear gas is mostly irritating if you hyperventilate. If you breathe slowly and deeply, it has much less of an effect on you. Which of course is kind of hard when you’re panicking

Look, I believe in casts, but if a parent has strongly-held anti-cast beliefs, they should be allowed to let their kid’s broken arm grow back all floppy and fucked up, even to the point of lifelong, debilitating pain. And that’s not child abuse because a kid’s bones are their parents’ property

when I was starting out, (pre-internet) I asked another artist a question about buying the chemicals to make a blue line (again, very long time ago) & they said they weren't going to tell me because I was competition & that's when I decided I'd never be a dick like that to another artist
Cartoonists getting mad over the 'what brush do you use?' question baffles me (and I have absolutely seen them in uproar over it, ye gods 🙄). Someone wants to know about your tools! don't you like talking about the tools you use to make comics? I know I do! Ask me about my brush!!!
A surefire way to make comics readership shrink away is to make casual readers feel stupid & embarrassed for making basic comments or asking basic questions. That’s why I cringe when artists get loudly defensive about stuff like “this reminds me of Steven Universe!” or even “what brushes do you use”
