Definitely seconding this! Colorists and letterers are almost always hired after the writers and pencilers, so if you wanna work with someone specific, it truly doesn't hurt to ask your editor. I've gotten jobs based on artist or writer requests MULTIPLE times.
Comics writers and artists — please request your favorite colorists and letterers when working on a new project with a publisher. Can’t hurt to ask. (And if you don’t really care who letters/colors your work…that’s disappointing on a lot of levels.)
