Snapshot of US Navy air activity in the Caribbean now has the usual suspects (F/A-18Es, EA-18s, and E-2D) operating closer to the Venezuelan coast than usual.
The F/A-18Es are as close as approx. 50km from the coast of Venezuela, whereas usually they fly north of Los Roques, 200km+ away.

Yes and no. I view "Vote blue no matter who" as "However useless they are, they are still more likely to do the right thing than the other guys". This is still obviously not ideal, we shouldn't have to choose between "definitely going to fuck us just because" and "might not fuck us if it helps them"
