We are a police state, with poverty as deliberate policy, we defend apartheid & arm genocidal regimes, we ignore international law, we break treaties, we host global corruption, our covid-19 response failed, we promote racist hostility: we are a failed state.
If government wants to pretend the economy is like a household budget, let's make a more honest job of the comparison.

Let's say the main breadwinner (interesting phrase) earns £575 a week after tax before their rich neighbour jumps the garden fence, smashes in the door & steals their wallet...

My partner and I are least compatible first thing in the morning. I get up slightly earlier and potter about in my old jalopy before she wheel-spins out of bed and pulls alongside revving her engine for a conversational drag race before I get out of second gear.

We must keep Andrew Windsor trending & demand that the royal family is not above the law; they should explain themselves, especially when accused of a crime as odious as raping a minor...
It is not justice if the rich can avoid court by paying off claimants. It is not justice when a young woman, traumatised and alone when compared to what she was going up against – the entire might of The Great British Establishment – doesn’t get her day in court.

Sir Keir Starmer doesn't understand why dangerous jam-maker Jeremy Corbyn volunteers every Christmas Eve at a food bank without taking the cameras. "This kind of missed opportunity is exactly why Labour needed me," he almost certainly said... 😉

Jeremy Corbyn works every Christmas Eve at a food bank and he doesn't take the cameras, and he puts in a full shift.

Starmer wouldn't pop in for 5 minutes if it wasn't a photo op.

Remember, next time you sing the anthem, or attend a jubilee party, or visit a food bank for that matter: all this is funded by austerity...

Starmer doesn't care about homelessness; he's not homeless.
Starmer doesn't care about food banks; he doesn't use them.
Starmer doesn't care about the NHS; he'll go private.
Starmer doesn't care about you; you're not his bank balance.

I agree with this.

Bearing in mind the cap doesn't end until April next year, the headline should read:

'Micro-Fascist Prime MInister Sir Keir Starmer Fills His Pockets While 1 in 3 British Children Starve This Christmas.'
Headline on The World at One just now:

"Sir Keir Starmer has denied putting the Labour Party before the country by ending the two-child benefit cap".

Can we please go back to reporting the actual news, not someone's partisan take on it?
November 27, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Why doesn't Labour remove the two-child benefit limit immediately? By leaving it in place until April next year, tens of thousands of children will still go hungry this Christmas...

Dishonest 'centrists' are already trying to justify Reeves' lies.

The problematic wording surrounds the verbs 'are' and 'don't' - the clue is that these are verbs used to imply the 'clubs' are already up and running, when they are not.

It's not complicated; it's deliberately misleading.
Dishonest Chancellor Rachel Reeves said: "Our free breakfast clubs are ensuring over half a million more children don’t start the school day hungry."

The first of these clubs won't start until April 2026, most are scheduled to open in September 2026, or 2027...

These kids are still hungry...

And bear in mind what he was up against...

Literally the worst shower of Tory incompetence since UK democracy started its squalid pretence.
Keir Starmer won the 2024 election with the smallest vote share of any majority government since record-keeping began in 1830.

This 'landslide' election (as mainstream media STILL insists), was won despite 80% of eligible voters NOT voting for Labour (you can check that on FullFact BTW). Landslide?

If we don't have room in the world for people like Korben, a 16-year-old from Norfolk whose 2022 pure prom perfection was met with huge cheers from classmates and teachers alike, then we are a sadly diminished society.
