the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them
OU has put the professor here on administrative leave:

the more i think about it, the more this phrase disgusts me. the "strong floor" is working people. immovable, forgettable, taken for granted. "no ceiling" is an opening for the rich and powerful to feel welcome. and where are they meant to stand, exactly? what strength are they meant to provide?

So many people who imagine themselves to be Marxists have a deeply liberal and idealist understanding of transphobia. It's not a debate, it's a power struggle and if you aren't willing to clearly take trans people's side, you are a scab.
Nah, bullshit tbh. You don't deal with the presence of transphobes by debating them. That the guy arguing no felt comfortable doing so and wasn't immediately heckled into silence speaks to a fundamental fucking rot.

I usually avoid dunking on NYT because it would turn into my full time job but I can’t let this pass. You know this is false. You know you are legitimizing fascism. You know more children will die because of this. I hope you are still able to feel shame because this is fucking shameful.
NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

Pretty broad question, but will take any leads:

Is there a body of research that has systematically studied the political-economic impact of various large-scale strikes in the US?

Thinking especially of manufacturing, transportation, logistics sectors

interesting to see Spurs running the 5-3-2 again - Frank sticking to his guns. honestly don't love the three CB setup but am cautiously optimistic and curious about the Richy - Kolo Muani setup up top #COYS

Keeping old coal plants open is so dumb. So, so dumb.

Ofc these costs are going to be passed on to ratepayers.
Cost to keep Michigan coal power plant running under Trump administration orders tops $80 million
An emergency order from the U.S. Department of Energy is requiring the J.H. Campbell power plant near Lake Michigan to remain open.
