Beyond disappointed to learn that Arc Raiders, like The Finals before it, uses AI voice acting.

So many iconic game voice work is little vendor greetings, and to farm that out to a machine is a hollow admission of a lack of care.

I know a thousand actors who would have done better for buttons.

You'll note there's a pattern with actors who took roles held by striking performers

They'll say "these auditions often don't say what the project is"

But when you follow up with "but did THIS project make it clear that it was Genshin?" they fall remarkably silent and reply to other people.

I’ve seen a lot of people say that Jacob Takanashi didn’t know about the Genshin VA strike. But do we actually know that?

I’m aware that another VA stated that he didn’t know. I just find it odd that Jacob never came out and confirmed it himself (afaik at least, I’m not on Twitter)

I’d imagine this is also in part because people who are willing to pay for Blue are more likely to be people who don’t want to leave Twatter. Lot of the non-Blues have deleted the app, so there’ll be less of them to see. Either way, ya hate to see it.

I never quite got into it but the few times I’ve played it I’ve enjoyed it. Funnily, while she doesn’t play it often and hasn’t in like years, DOA is actually my *Mom’s* favorite fighting game series. The MTXs in the newer games rub me the wrong way but I have DOA4, I should turn it on sometime!

Ya as cool as the idea of constant updates is for online play, it’s rather incongruent when it comes to actually spending money on real cards…

I think / hope I’m in a good place though, since I’m just converting an Advanced deck to Genesys that *probably* won’t get more pointed anytime soon (BEWD).
