Actor and tabletop RPG nerd, the order depends upon the week. I handle marketing for Evil Hat Productions. Currently playing a long game to get cast as Ned Flanders in the live action Simpsons movie.

Being extremely careful about image/video attribution isn’t JUST important for giving credit to artists and creators. It’s also a way to slightly decrease your chances of spreading deceptive AI slop!
The thing that made me most suspicious was the lack of attribution of any kind. A conveniently perfect light-up sign at the beginning that states the premise of the video but doesn’t mention the facility, for instance. (This is part of why it’s bad to share stuff if you don’t know its provenance!)

Thread on how to detect ai in that viral dog video
Yeah, I mean, I'm critical of any video nowadays that is trying to elicit an emotional response, especially when it's asking for subs at the end. It's weird that all the people seem to end up with the dog they want. And shelters are overflowing, where are the rooms full of people wanting to adopt?

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

I can’t get over how Barbie succeeded because it offered tangible ways for women and girls to celebrate each other (and dress up and go to the movies together) but studios thought it worked because it’s about toys so now they’re making like Bananagrams the movie

Wake Up Dead Man was just as enjoyable as the first installment except Benoit Blanc has drifted even further from Master Detective to Stubborn Eccentric.
Also got a thoughtful examination of faith, mercy, and institutional power that resonated.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

As a ttrpg superbacker, gotta say: If your stretch goals are not complete prior to the KS campaign launching, don't make them part of the final physical deliverable. They just become a roadblock to fulfillment. Make them a PDF. It's tempting to go "This is an easy one!" If it was easy, it'd be done.

This feels like the cover of an 80s computer game where you turned the box over and the screenshot on the back was a glob of nine loosely-conjoined squares fighting a very skinny rectangle with some dots on one end.
This Les Edwards album cover for Stormkeep’s 'Tales Of Othertime' is from 2021
