I was ready to bail after episode 2 as well, but hung with it and ended up liking it. Not a perfect show but it is entertaining eventually. Episode 3 was where I started to care.

Comedian Tim Dillon said on his podcast last month that he signed up for financial reasons.
He said he had been offered "a large sum of money" - $375,000 for one performance - and said that other comedians had been offered as much as $1.6 million. He told his detractors to "get over it," adding, "So what if they have slaves, they're paying me enough to look the other way."
But in an episode of the Tim Dillon Podcast last week, the comedian announced he'd been removed from the lineup for the comments he made about the country's record on slavery.

One Battle After Another is a phenomenal movie that I hope everyone goes to see in the theater, but it isn't the best movie of the year. Not in a year where Sinners came out. Maybe most other years, but not this one.

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.

my roomie's car is in the shop and he's got a Ram 2500 loaner, so I've been driving it out of curiosity. first impressions:

1. i have stopped using turn signals

2. my eyes no longer register whatever a "crosswalk" is

3. sober so far but i really think four to eight drinks would help me drive
