Don't ever forget, when the NYPD had their tantrum and essentially went on strike crime dropped. It wasn't just that arrests/citations fell, reports of crime from citizens fell.

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Like some things are just easier for me to process in writing because the processing hits different especially when people are explaining things in spirals and fractals; sometimes I'd just rather find something written and then ask about what I didn't get when there's something with multiple steps.

In Broadview, IL this morning outside the Chicago area ICE detention center—

Just rolled up, immediately saw ISP/CCSO arresting a protester w/ a guitar (he appears to be in good spirits over it).

ICE vehicles have been coming and going, including a large bus driven by a masked agent seen earlier.
