I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Definitely. It happened to me in some capacity *and* I wound up drifting into spaces that both reinforced some of my internalized anti-Blackness/respectability learning from my upbringing. Ugly loop to be stuck in, and I'm still deprogramming from it. (1/5)
I really do not understand why we can’t be nuanced and admit that some Black people genuinely were rejected for being weird and that “weird” was often equivalent to “white.” 😵💫
