i actually was briefly made insane by this atlantic article (and the attached NYT piece linked in it) about how there was no plan to deal with the fact that businesses still need pennies despite the fact that we don't make them anymore

I am having fun on Bluesky now! Early Bluesky was certainly more anarchic and looser and overtly hornier; I think it's hard to scale those particular qualities. What worked as a community of 40,000 or even 400,000 won't always work at 40 million.
