London based filmmaker working on folk horror, weird shit, punk sci-fi satire and stuff that exudes a cosmic darkness. Progressive humane human. Obsessed with phantasmagoria, perpetually dreich. Sometimes a numpty, always the odd one out. He/him.
Yeah, I had one of those today, via text message of all the things. Retro harassment.
Come the fuck on already…

Yeah. Before the fall, CK's act—and his fandom—rested on the premise that his worst self wasn't his true self. Now it's the opposite, and that's just not interesting as comedy.
He is just generally an alt-right, unrepentantly racist and transphobic piece of shit. He is also a genuinely bad comedian, much in the way that thin-skinned assholes often are 🤷‍♀️

This is wild
Three people who’d be expected to be Your Party bigwigs have largely walked away from Corbyn’s project: former NE mayor Jamie Driscoll, former Labour MP Beth Winter, and former ANC MP Andrew Feinstein.

I have some new intel on the fall-out, if you’re interested in that sort of thing… 🧵

"I'm canceled," he says in the sleek profile they gave to him in the New Yorker while his latest special & his new novel is coming out. A lot of people wish they were that canceled.
Louis CK is not in a limbo of cancellation. He's straight up not cancelled & his "cancellation" became a profitable bit for him.

When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

I'm eating nothing but raw vegetables today, just to keep the morbid spectres out of my peripheral vision/keep my cholesterol down.
I blew £20 I don't have tonight on pakora and masala fries for no reason besides anxiety, depression, stress and the need for ghee. I will be dead within a year.
Currently self medicating with Indian food I cannot afford, intaking a level of saturated fats that will mean apocalypse for my cholesterol levels. Between this and the hurt I've accidently caused a loved one today, my level of self harm has smashed through the roof.

It's a fantasy about laser wizards, it's fine, it's already ridiculous. People can say "sitting ducks" in a universe with no ducks when you have laser wizards.

Putting the ethics of this aside for the moment, the framing of this is demonstrably false. So many of the sex pests and abusers who’ve wormed their way back to public life - Mel Gibson, Kevin Spacey, Russell Brand, etc. - are reactionary losers now making the worst work of their careers.

Thing is, we DID hear about it at his confirmation hearing.

Every single senator who voted to confirm Hegseth knew he held these views about the laws of war.

They voted to confirm him anyway.
Everyone should read this terrifying thread about Hegseth’s published views wrt war crimes. It’s pretty fucking radical …. We needed to hear about this in his confirmation hearing.
A chapter in Hegseth’s book is literally titled “More Lethality, Less Lawyers.”

It’s almost as if there were signs!

No, no this is fine because how can anything ever be remembered, how can any lessons ever be learnt unless it has been mass produced, packed, contained, exploited and dispatched with a fantacial, gleeful zeal to the thronging hordes desperate to fill their lives with content and novelty keepsakes.
Chernoble nostalgia.

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

A source tells me they had planned for *hundreds* of agents to flood Canal St. They got flooded instead.
