There’s a recent study into the tendency to embrace misinformation as an independence stance, i.e. ‘not listening to the man.’ There is a significant portion of the population that doesn’t care if the information is true or not, just that it isn’t the same as the establishments.

I was lucky: I had a bout of shingles last year, maybe three square inches total in a band across my chest around to my back. Painful as anything, lasted about a month.

I remember my step-mother suffered from it for nearly a year and had no idea it was so painful.

People smarter than me have figured that if 3.5% of a population are actively moving for change, it WILL happen.

It’s something to do with application of force - in the USA, 14 million people resisting is too many for the armed forces/feds/police to effectively pacify.
