Combined with the Friedman Policy, where corporations all decided that money to the shareholders was the only important thing. Products, wages, pollution control, etc etc all took a back seat to profit.

Friedman started it, when he convinced every corporate type that they should stop doing anything except making money for shareholders - no more good quality goods, no more good quality jobs, no more customer satisfaction, no more ‘pay once and it’s yours’

It’s the anti-intellectual thread: make the poor distrust anyone with actual expertise and as a person with influence/power, you can convince them of anything. Drink bleach, shun vaccines, accept school shootings. The list goes on.

Could I suggest a good move for dems would be to commit to signing up fully to the ICJ & ICC, especially with regards to War crimes.

1. Vaccines save lives (compare mortality rates for children before & after 1950)
2. Healthiness in the US has a direct correlation with wealth. This overshadows any other variable by orders of magnitude.
