There was literally nothing we could do to prevent the current climate of hate and hostility towards us.

The majority of trans people I know are kind and have empathy for others, despite the large number of us dealing with trauma inflicted upon us for being trans

I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

It blows my mind that people use ChatGPT for "research." It literally makes no sense to me to consult a plagiarism machine that has been shown, over and over again, to be unworthy of trust and horrifically unreliable. Who looks at that and says, "That's for me!!1!"?

This shit right here. Antifascism is at its core, community defense. It's about protecting the vulnerable, the marginalized, the minority, but most importantly, the community as a whole.

In the absence of fascist adversaries that are as concerned with free speech, the rule of law, or polite disagreement as their opponents are, a politics of mutual aid and community self-defense remains our most powerful choice.

Anti-fascism and anti-fascists have demonstrated how we might walk this path toward a politics of empowerment, in which we take direct responsibility for our own communities.

If we are going to foster a thriving, powerful movement equal to this dangerous moment, we must not surrender “antifa” to Trump’s whims and the worst fantasies of our opponents. The health and safety of our friends, family, and society may depend on it.

We need to rebuild support systems for disabled people and be considerate of the needs of others.

The member of staff I talked to in there was getting really sick of it after just a few days. It activates every time someone enters or leaves the store.

I saw one woman walk in and nope back out the store while I was there.

Yeah, with characters like that it's blatantly obvious their entire existence is just to provide motive for the main character.

It's why dramas that involve women and minority writers are often so much more compelling, because the characters are rounded, complete and have their own motives & agenda

I've always found it weird how media portrays marriage as an inconvenience and women as a "ball and chain" preventing men from doing what they want.

It's like they expect people to hate each other after more than a year of marriage.

Has anyone made this FOI request of the south-west and the London CYP Gender services?

This post ⬇️relates to the north-west service, where not one young person has been offered medical transition since the service was opened over a year ago.

This isn't treatment. It's state sanctioned conversion.

#UK #TransRights An FOI has just confirmed what all of us have feared: for the Youth gender services, since July 2024, not a single patient has been referred to commence HRT. And 22 have been moved from youth to adult services , also without treatment. This is scandalous.

This appealed to me because of the way it expands the classic illustration of equality and equity (we should always be striving for equity over equality) plus it's really on the nose with that capitalism section.
