Want to know what I, an employer, was doing as the economy opened up as COVID lockdowns ended?

I was hiring. It was hard to hire people for a variety of reasons, so I raised wages significantly. It was an employee's market.

Things are very different now. Too much uncertainty.

If you truly wanted to be president, you'd take this opportunity to inflict cruelty and suffering on people who didn't vote for you. Tell them that they aren't getting any assistance. Fire them from their state jobs. Tell them they deserve to suffer. You know, Presidential behavior.

This is Michael Cohen, once Trump's attorney, who went to prison for various various Trump-related things. He helped bribe Stormy Daniels and he lied to congress.

He would have kept helping Trump if he hadn't been caught. Now he's just pissed that he can't commit crimes with Trump anymore.

We are in a recession, by the way. A bad one. Prices are way up. People can't find jobs.

I am plugged into this in a very real way. The stock market is just not important unless you are in the top 10%/1%.

I have not seen a labor market this bad since 2008. The 2nd Great Depression is coming.

I just don't know if this whole dictator thing is going to work out. The economy is in a recession and people are struggling. They might have moved too fast. Vance could totally do the whole "war with Venezuela" thing in 2028 and wait until then to cancel elections.

Want to know something crazy? The Trump cabinet could just 25th Amendment the guy and it would be better for all of them. Vance could stop all the crazy tariffs, stabilize the economy, and generally make the population happier. He could still seize power and stay forever, and nobody would care.

Basically half the world's air forces do training in the US. Dozens of countries. It's been a big thing for a long time. At any given time there are lots of them in the US at various bases. We effectively are their training academies on the planes and weapons we sell them. It's not a novel thing.
