I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Adds a permanent sweaty feet effect and makes a squelching sound while walking. Some NPCs might have a negative reaction when you approach.

People are rightfully fed up.

Not satisfied with just destroying their own brand goodwill, OS companies are now using AI to try to destroy the good names of the apps users install. (Scrivener taking out adds to explain how it has no AI but Apple adds some anyway.)

BlueSky's direction is concerning and I'm probably repeating myself: can't wait till #Eurosky has something to show.

I left Twitter because... yeah.

Then we got waffles and now they ban journalists over song lyrics the moment their expert topic explodes. It's censorship in plain sight.
BlueSky is a bad site used by good people. That describes most social media sites. But BlueSky is egregiously unethical. Any of you can be disappeared for baseless reasons. I've been on social media for 17 years and never been suspended. BlueSky is the first place to do so – over Johnny Cash lyrics.

hey remember how that one big tech ceo was on a panel in like 2021/22 where someone asked him about how remote work gave a lot more power to the workers and he chuckled and said “yeah well a little recession will take care of that”

I think about that often.
Just fucking insane to see the absolute (intentional) collapse of full remote jobs available for AAA studios in so short a time. Why would I EVER move for a job again when I could be laid off weeks after moving my entire life across the globe??

Runner up for another Saudi, another right wing billionaire or another Tencent acquisition. This, or getting busted by tax authorities for Tencent's bailout money glitch.

Ubisoft news are many things, but never boring.
Ubisoft just postponed its earnings report and halted the trading of its shares. Unclear why at this point but could indicate a major announcement related to the company.

Pest winning against cholera. Don't celebrate them for anything but this.

First and probably only time in history that I'll agree with GMRS/GEMA.

They are also an exploitative corpo that willfully ruins small indie artists and are the #1 reason why small music venues in Germany have to close down.
German court rules that OpenAI violated copyright laws by training ChatGPT on music 🎵

• May set precedent for Europe AI copyright uses

• OpenAI disagrees & can appeal

I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.

And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.

What does OpenAI offer the world?
