Shortly thereafter, she says, her higher-ups gave her an ultimatum: Do your job the way we want you to do it, without the chair or without the breaks, or go on unpaid leave.

It is a struggle over language. The left has pursued a generational mission. From "Political Correctness" to "Woke", the project shapes public speech toward kindness. The right has been resisting that project for just as long. Because the right wants to be cruel in public without consequence.

It has never been a debate about free speech. It is a debate about the content and range of public speech. Should it be kind to the weak, or cruel? Should it protect, or should it enact violence and oppression? The left and the right have entirely sorted on this question.

This right here. The heart of it - all the discussion of noise around "PC" and "Woke" was always about kindness vs cruelty.

At a brainwashing center?

Is that even possible on such Marxist, communist, socialist, anarchist, sacred soil?

I thought no one survived the onslaught of woke math?

An abstract comparison out of the blue, but, completely fair.

Sounds bad, Mike.

Did they show up by the 1000s and with guns? Did they threaten to kill them and their families, like republicans at 100s of town halls & school board meetings?
Did Dems say the AG was a traitor for saying they're concerned about the threats?

Trump has a very simple worldview: the Presidency is not a public office, it is his property. He can use it to satisfy his personal or partisan whims, or to enrich himself.

So here, he threatens to reorganize an international competition, cohosted by Mexico and Canada, to settle a vendetta.

They talk about putting Democrats in “gas chambers,” attacking “Jews,” calling Black people “watermelon people,” calling to “rape” their enemies, and bringing back slavery.

The crash of 1929 remains the most significant—and largely misunderstood—financial disaster in modern history. And few people today “perceive the remarkable parallels between that era and today’s political and economic climate,” Andrew Ross Sorkin writes.

The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.
