There have only ever been 75 yokozuna (grand champions) in sumo history. Two of them are in London today, and it’s fairly likely we’ll get to see them wrestle each other. On iPlayer from 2pm, bouts from about 2:30pm.

Onosato Daiki and Hōshōryū Tomokatsu in their robes, with the murky Thames and the Houses of Parliament behind them.

It's wild how much it feels like people are desperate to memory hole this entire phenomenon, to me. How viciously everyone who pointed out the emperor had no clothes were criticized. How content they all seem to be to let the biggest wealth transfer of the decade just fade out w/o REAL examination.

I've never had curry or a kabab and don't intend to.
British food is the best. English breakfasts, Sunday roasts, fish and chips, pies, pasties, scones.
Also, our national dish isn't a chicken tikka masala we only think that because a Labour MP said it decades ago to push multiculturalism.
