NHANES runs mobile clinics that travel the country measuring height, weight, & blood pressure while collecting blood and urine samples. These samples are our only national source for tracking everything from blood sugar to hormones, heavy metals, and more.

The entire operation has been eliminated.

Everyone across biomedicine should be very loud about this so this team's RIF status gets reversed. Nhanes has been key for tracking obesity & diabetes rates, identifying high blood lead levels in kids in the 70s, tracking progress on cholesterol lowering, guiding nutrient fortification programs etc

I’m too online. I thought this said Artificial Gender Intelligence and the OP was afraid. Which made some sense bc what is Artificial Gender? Not that I would be against it but how would it have Intelligence that non-Artificial Genders didn’t have - and that’s where I knew to reread.

Anyway this particular consultant is on The List. Outside of work, he gets No Quarter. Inside of work, the patient comes first. If he is ever the patient, no professional courtesy given - he will wait his turn like every other patient.

A - I don’t control the weather
B - how big the storm was
C - I don’t control if the helicopter flies
D - helicopters fall out of the sky in storms
E - ambulances also tip over in high winds
F - alive patient delayed was better than dead patient and crew

I remember this storm from 2014. Mostly because by the time it hit my area, I was working and a consultant spent 15 minutes yelling (yes) at me on the phone because the helicopter wasn’t going to be flying (yes) and every minute counted for the patient’s condition (yes).
