i saw my oma last month, possibly for the last time. she has a pillow with a photo of her dog (who now lives with my mom) on it, and treats it like a real dog, commenting on how well-behaved she is and how little she needs to eat or go out. my mom says she knows and is playing along. and it’s true,
So those nonsensical AI pics that say things like "the troops, his dog, my beautiful family" with tears streaming down faces," the people passing those around aren't seeing what you and I see. They see it through a gauzy veil, and the fact that the pictures make no sense doesn't even register.
