Never forget this: The forces rigging our economy, undermining our democracy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. Stay clear-eyed and ready for the fight ahead.

One thing that doing creative work teaches you is that ideas are worth nothing. Anybody can have an idea. In a writers room you have to come up with a hundred ideas a day, and most of those don’t make the page. It’s the work of making something that gives it value. The patina of humanity.
"AI only offers suggestions based on your prompts. It's still your imagination."

No. Your imagination provides the germ of a story, expands it into sentences, phrases, paragraphs, chapters, culminating in a complete story. Using AI is "I have an idea," then someone else writes a story based on it.

You should never follow any of these color charts. They are all stupid.

Calling on my ancestors for guidance but the only one who answers is a weird eutherian rodent-mammal from the early cretaceous period. "EAT BERRY SLEEP UNDER ROCK" it says. Pretty good advice

Howard Zinn is a historian and author of multiple books including "A People’s History of the United States: 1492 - Present". Look back through the pages of history. You will find darkness but also light. Let it give you hope.

Goodnight 💚

People are seriously out there saying that young men lack strong male role models when men like Ryan Coogler and Pedro Pascal and David Tennant exist and it's like, you just mean you don't like the ones who *do* exist because it feels like too much effort.
When I met Ryan Coogler several years ago, we were standing in a group of people chatting, when a woman with visible hearing aids walked up, and he casually began to sign the whole conversation so she could participate. She mouthed “thank you”. He nodded and just kept doing his thing.
