The EHRC has finally, five months after producing its wildly transphobic and, we believe, unlawful Interim Guidance now taken it down. Our judicial review challenge to that Interim Guidance will be heard in less than one month.

I'm not so sure. Just because he's good at talking to people in a way that doesn't make him sound like a politician, that doesn't automatically mean he doesn't understand the things he's talking about. It could just mean he's good at translating.

The language requirement for naturalisation in the Netherlands is B1 (sometime even A2), which you'll note is less than the B2 the UK will demand simply to live & work there.

Sure, but where we're replacing E.g. gas fired central heating with a reversible air heat pump, you have a net gain in energy usage and fossil fuel consumption.

Having said that if we built higher quality houses and built them smarter, we wouldn't need as much artificial heating or cooling to begin with.

It's a common myth but aircon is actually surprisingly efficient. It's a heat pump, the same thing that's now being rolled out to replace gas central heating in a lot of newer houses. If everyone had a reversible heat pump that both heated & cooled we'd stop burning a lot of gas & oil.
