Instead of making a Calvin And Hobbes movie, just make a movie about them trying to make it and Bill Waterson murders all of them like it's a John Wick movie

It'd be bad enough just on how Watterson famously doesn't want this kind of thing, leave him alone man. But also there's no way anybody could make a Calvin and Hobbes movie that wouldn't be absolutely terrible anyway.
this is the most "Get a Job, Stay Away From Her" I've ever felt

A hill on which I will die: Calvin and Hobbes is one of the great pieces of 20th-century American literature in no small part because it was never turned into anything aside from a comic strip. Leave it be.

Man, Tulsi Gabbard better hope Tulsi Gabbard doesn't hear about what Tulsi Gabbard said back then or Tulsi Gabbard is going to have some stern words for Tulsi Gabbard.
This used to be Tulsi Gabbard.

ALWAYS.

WITHOUT FAIL.
Donald Trump has instructed the entire FBI to prioritize finding ways to bring charges against anti-fascists and other activists. Any FBI agent who wants to advance his career now has an incentive to set up naïve kids for an entrapment case.

Please read about entrapment and how to protect yourself.

The air in the Los Angeles metro area has been so bad for the last two weeks - today it was like driving in fog when I took my son to a birthday party.

Apparently all caused by a weather anomaly that is basically causing the smog to just sit in one place rather than disperse.

This feels like a no-brainer but I think even moreso than the Democratic Party in the US, the Labour Party in the UK highlights exactly how hard it is for people in the pathways of power to actually even try to do this. They can't even grasp the concept.
Polling: "Do you think the rich have too much political power in the U.S.?"

Yes: 80%
No: 8%

Independent voters are 81%/6% on this; even Trump voters are 68%/18%.

Maybe a political party could lead on this issue.

Disney doesn't believe they need animators or actors anymore and all creatives should oblige them by refusing to work with them.
Disney CEO Bob Iger says that OpenAI has made an "agreement to both honor and value and respect our content" and explains the new partnership by saying " we want to participate in what Sam [Altman] is creating and what his team is creating."

Are you a person running for Congress or eventually the Presidency as a Not Republican? Earn votes now by promising to bring a bill that repeals 22 U.S. Code § 7423 and maybe also actually says we'll actually cooperate with the trying and convictions of war criminals!
NEWS: Trump officials are worried the ICC may try to prosecute them for war crimes once Trump's term ends, and are threatening sanctions against the ICC to change its founding document to grant them immunity. (via Reuters / link in reply)

Crazy idea that I'd like to put out there: Nobody needs to be allowed to buy Warner Bros/Discovery as an entire entity.
If Paramount is allowed to take over Warner Bros. Discovery, the conservative billionaire Ellison family will control:

Paramount Studios
CBS
CNN
MTV
HBO
Comedy Central
Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network
Warner Bros.
DC Studios
Fandango
New Line Cinema
TNT Sports
TBS
Oracle

And more.

then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM
