Huge influx of new people, so this seems like a good time to do an introduction. Hi! I'm a writer in Portland, Oregon. You probably followed me because of political posts but in happier times I write a lot about spirits and cocktails.

Very entertained by Apple’s wallpaper suggestions, which are never of me or me and other people together but of my dog or my boyfriend. It’s like the algorithm chose for most photogenic and I didn’t make the cut 😂

People of Portland, it's not often you get to try two different spirits infused with rye bread. Maybe you didn't even know this was a thing you needed. But it is! Rye whiskey from PDX, aquavit from Iceland, both bread-infused. Get that bread with me Wednesday 5-7 at Loyal Legion SE.

Throwback to 2007 when I had skills (but not yet a good camera phone). Can confirm that getting that perfect flow of milk into espresso to make a rosetta is extremely satisfying. The temptation to do this very part-time again is real.
