I wish people would stop using transmasc folks as a gotcha.
1) They already want to exclude us from 'womens' spaces' because we're male-looking and therefore scary
2) We shouldn't have to cut ourselves off from friend and support networks to transition
3) We're people, not a rhetorical argument

I understand that there are a lot of people out there who think they have good intentions and love to take their ideological opponents in good faith because it makes them seem fair and reasonable and I truly cannot overstate how dangerous this is to trans people and how much they should stop

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. She’s alive today b/c work of activists who destigmatized the virus, pushed medical science to adapt & find ways to treat it, & advocated for gov health programs that helped fund her care. The current U.S. regime may want to go back in time, but we won’t let them.

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.
