If you are married to a US spouse, your temporary visa (usually for 3 months) will lapse before your case is processed. The government allowed you could stay in the US while awaiting case processing. Now the Trump admin is saying that is a visa overstay and arresting the spouses.

When I first watched "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" in ~1980 (the BBC series broadcast on PBS), I was in awe of the complexity of le Carre's dialogue. Reading the book was even more awe inspring.
So many good lines even a 10th reading reveals hidden gems.
But one line in particular haunted me. 1/x

No. But that hasn't stopped him from doing all the other things he doesn't have the authority to do.
It's up to his cabinet members to stand up to him (they won't), or for congress to impeach him (they won't until Dems take over), and even then, SCOTUS has given him a "free pass" on criminal acts.
