No doubt there is friction when Speaker Johnson daily collides with the Peter Principle. And his greasy fealty to the President does not fully lubricate all the points of friction. Hence, his colleagues grow weary of an incompetent lap dog.

Gratitude is what I feel daily for every detail of my life that manages to hold together as potential for some calamity abounds in this fickle universe.

I don’t know to what provenance, if any, I owe it, but it’s a taking stock of my good luck & the ensuing relief of finding things still in place.

So, here’s to the gratitude I feel for all of you here, upon whom I depend for much of my happiness & hope.
Cheers, you dear hearts! 🥂

A treasure hunt?! For this magnificent piece, which should be worn by a certain humble someone who’s richly deserving yet asks oh-so-little during this holiday season… because it so happens that the Our Lady of Little Hope Ladies Guild is hosting its annual ham dinner.
