⭐️ Reposting. PLEASE—read how the cancerous Heritage Foundation *complained about the memorial* [WHAT WAS THE COMPLAINT??] [WHY DID THE NETHERLANDERS COMPLY?]
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

If you haven't seen this, please read. It should bring rage and tears to learn that this memorial has been removed.

Every word.
The cowardice in the political, academic and corporate worlds is just staggering. They let democracy die and dictatorship metastasize, but they get to keep their cozy high-paying job, and perks. The Wimp-O-Meter is at 11.
We need a national injection of the Lincoln/Morton steel backbone serum stat!
I see y'all are finally approaching Upstate levels of hatred for Chuck Schumer.

You're late.

The Star Chamber Six enabling the dictatorship will go down in history as the worst failure of the SC. Their many other failures, such as Dred Scott, while horrible, didn't risk the end of the Republic and the Constitution.

It’s such a bad idea, when one of his crimes was calling forth an insurrection, that he’s actually forbidden from holding the office by a constitutional provision, which a unanimous Supreme Court invented a way to turn off.
To repeat: Maybe electing a life-long criminal to an office where he can pardon other criminals wasn't such a good idea.

It’s just a given that elected republicans are a cynical, monolithic block of ambition & cowardice -good faith leadership isn’t expected of them. Every journalist & pundit reflexively gives them a free pass.

All the discussion is over what dems should/shouldn’t do for the good of the country.

Overall, this is unacceptable & emblematic of Dems‘ tremulous weakness.

“We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed…”
Angus King: "This initial strategy didn't work. And now we have one. We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed. I grant that. But a reasonable chance -- 10, 20, 30% -- is a lot better than 0% which is where we were."
