The fountain pen show in Denver is this weekend and ordinarily I’d be saving my pennies solely for that, but it’s also time for Halloween ink releases and something tells me this particular one might not be available forever, so.

It is a beautiful fall morning in Denver and football fans have been in front of the TV since the 7:30a kickoff, which meant there was no line for a change at my favorite bakery. Got a mortadella sandwich and an apple galette.

Yesterday I did not want to leave the house. Today I made it to my favorite bakery and talked to people while waiting in line in the morning sun. A better day, even before I had pastries!
