McGovern: Buried in this bill is a corrupt kickback for eight Republican senators, a million dollar payday funded by taxpayers, taken from the treasury and deposited directly into their pockets. What the hell is wrong with this place?

No money for public transit—even after tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians demanded that their representatives prioritize their mobility. No meaningful action on housing policy—even in the midst of a rapidly worsening crisis.

billypenn.com/2025/11/07/m... i dont feel great about any of the new plans for east market, but seems Parker is big in on since she heard they are going to be knocking down things for program space I guess.
Parker vows that, this time, Market East planning will succeed
Residents are invited to contribute ideas for revitalizing the stagnant retail corridor.

foamers its your time!
Found a YouTube channel that's been digitizing film reels one of which was someone filming the last day of service to Reading Terminal. Imagine that station approach nowadays had we not gotten the tunnel

Also Temple Station used to look like crap before Railworks in the 1990s

The common refrain with these “oops all nazi imagery” scandals seems to be “I didn’t know.”

I’m not sure what’s worse- that these indelible images aren’t being taught as examples of evil, or that people know what they are but choose to feign ignorance because they don’t care.
Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.

Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.

Absolutely deadly behavior causing another crash on Spruce Street at 5th st early this morning. This is on the busiest bike lane in Philly with over 1,500 riders who use it daily.

We deserve so much better than paint and flexposts, we deserve real protection.
