I've been saying this is the plan for years. Fascists saw the blind, irrational hatred that TERFs had for trans people, and capitalised on that to get them to force another situation where the ECtHR could defend the human rights of another innocent minority, to then push to leave it.

He’s flagging that 🇬🇧 is in breach of it’s obligations with the result being:

1. They change the approach

2. They lose when this gets to the ECHR

3. The 🇬🇧 leaves the international human rights body we imposed on Europe to stop the rise of fascism happening again.

I've said it before it's no mistake that we're the average life span away from the end of WW2 and starting to see this stuff.

Anyone who witnessed fascism would beat the living shit out of anybody who pushes for it.

The horrors of fascism have become a myth that nobody really believes anymore.

As Cliff says, the companions are the audience PoV, not the Doctor. They're the ones who should change, grow and run off getting into trouble. The Doctor should be there to facilitate that, not necessarily to instigate it.

To me, I prefer to think of The Doctor as a kind of space-time drifter.

Not necessarily a force for good or bad, rather a soul that just needs to keep moving to stay sane.

He should be as timeless and mysterious as the TARDIS, because the mystery is infinitely more interesting than the answer.

Expecting character development for the Doctor is daft. That's not what he's for, it's what the companions are for. Also, the Doctor and the companions should be as weird and alien as possible. Because if drama should "teach", that teaches EVERYONE to care about people that are nothing like them.
