I'm going to start a thread with examples of how the NYT uses euphemism to painfully avoid saying that Trump is committing blatantly unconstitutional and lawless acts.

Let's start with this one... "stretched the limits of his spending powers"
NEW: The White House is reprogramming billions in congressionally approved spending during the shutdown, aiming to pay troops, ICE agents and others who work on programs that fulfill the president's political agenda. Some of the money comes from Trump's tax cuts. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/21/u...

there were investigations that dragged into the middle of 2002!

Reminder that Mr. “Nazi streak” still works for the White House. Withdrawing his nomination is not good enough. Ingrassia should be removed from the White House and government service altogether.

Demolishing the White House and just demanding straight up cash from the Treasury. 10 months in.
The New York Times describes Trump demanding his own Justice Department pay him $230 million as a "potential" ethical conflict.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

"Thank God we have in America perhaps the largest percentage of any country in the world of the pure, unadulterated Anglo-Saxon stock."--Senator Ellison DuRant Smith, arguing for the 1924 Quota Act. White supremacist exclusion, as nonsensical as it is bigoted, there & here, then & always.
I truly don't understand why anyone would want "cultural coherence." Are you that afraid of feeling something new, tasting different flavors, hearing new sounds, questioning why you live the way you do, considering ANY alternative to your boiled chicken, steamed broccoli life? How horrifically sad.
A Conservative MP tipped as a future party leader has been condemned for saying large numbers of legally settled families must be deported, in order to ensure the UK is mostly “culturally coherent”.

This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.
