Hey it’s gift-giving season, and one thing everyone needs every years is a new calendar. Buying these directly supports my art, as, frankly, if they stop commissioning these, a major chunk of income flies out the window.

You recognize the pondering the orb meme. The art's by Angus McBride, originally a cover for a MERP book.

It's ALSO the cover for this choose your own adventure book where you play as Saruman's apprentice who doesn't wish to turn to the Shadow. It's my favorite Middle-earth Quest book.

"A new study has found that eating 50g or more of high-fat cheese a day correlates with a lower risk of developing dementia. That means all cheeses with more than 20 percent fat content, including brie, gouda, cheddar, parmesan, gruyere, and mozzarella." www.sciencealert.com/cheese-linke...

New Illustration: "We Beat 'Em Before..."

Taken from a British WW2 poster, the original features a WW1 German soldier at the top. I just swapped it for the Nazi soldier it had at the bottom.

The 21st century is when we found out how many men literally have no idea how to react to the word “no,” or even to the words “FUCK NO.”

It is possible an perfectly fine to write something with no pictures to go along with it. See?
Every writer who generates a slop image for their work is a class traitor.

"I can't afford a visual artist"

So your solution is stabbing artists in the back? Stealing from them?

Furthermore, slop-generated imagery suggests slop-generated writing. That's how you're presenting yourself.

Today is Tom Spurgeon's birthday. Read some Little Orphan Annie or Cul de Sac, write a friend you miss, call your mom, gossip about comics with friends, get a group together for dinner, give a book you love a review, see a play, talk for hours with someone who means the world to you. Remember Tom.

This is the behavior of people who are well aware they are a minority, that their fragile political power rests in the hands of people who only think about politics for about 20 minutes once every 4 years, and whose greatest fear is not being able to write the history books about this moment.
