He either can’t control his caucus (and should be replaced as leader) or he’s lying to our faces here (and should be primaried).
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Just think about what the next capitulation by the dems will be about, the next big fuck you to the poor.

Trump will, as always, take their capitulation as permission to escalate and do something even more cruel and stupid.

This was just the most pathetic capitulation the dems have done *so far*

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Finally we have an updated answer to the question "If you stand for nothing, what will you fall for?"
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

they haven't got the slightest plan to fix any of this, and at some point the airport situation compounds enough that even if the shutdown ends and we get back to regular ATC staffing it's going to take weeks to unfuck things

holidays are going to be a nightmare this year and it's one guy's fault

Live your life in such a way that when you die people don't literally rise from the dead to shit on your grave.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

The Trump administration is removing, from foreign countries, monuments to American WWII dead from cemeteries full of American WWII dead.

It increasingly seems like they think the wrong side won that war.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

incredible that these guys have a massive hard on for a country that, if it were a state, would rank behind kansas in terms of wealth and which would be a total backwater if it weren’t economically integrated with more functional countries

How many people is an irresponsible company allowed to kill?
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

The world's largest Pentecostal denomination has been covering up the sexual abuse of children for at least 50 years.

A blizzard of outside spending on ads, including a spot that linked Zohran Mamdani to 9/11, failed to move voters and may have even backfired.

"The world" has already taken the win. Every country *except the US*🤡 now has access to cheaper power, cheaper cars, non-polluting buses, less dependence on coal and oil, which means slightly less geopolitical instability based on the price of oil.

Oh, and as a side effect, will produce less C02.
