ADDENDUM: I was mistaken when I said Johnson needed to “hold a vote to confirm” Grijalva; all he needs to do is swear her in. This kerfuffle is sufficiently reminiscent of Mitch McConnell’s Supreme Court obstruction that I inadvertently conflated the processes. The rest of my thread stands.

I have heard many unconfirmed reports that Trump convinced Netanyahu to delay the peace deal so Biden would not get the credit, although I remain somewhat skeptical that Netanyahu was so invested in Trump‘s success that he would deliberately delay the release of Israeli hostages for six months
