43. Days Of Shattered Faith - Adrian Tchaikovsky

📚 Finished? ✅

The 3rd in the Tyrant Philosophers fantasy series, this follows the Palleseen trying to gradually conquer a land through ‘diplomacy’ - and the people torn on both sides. It’s a tangled web, and I liked it. Also there’s a frog god 🐸

This was DELIGHTFUL. If you’re a fan of Godzilla, of giant monsters, of anything like Pacific Rim’s kaiju - read this. It’s excellent, it’s fast paced, and never stops being fun. 🦖

📚 Finished? Oh yes!

Oh, this was so much FUN. Two grad students have to venture into Hell/The Underworld to retrieve their thesis supervisor so they can complete their PhDs. It is hilarious, clever as fuck, and I had an absolute blast reading it. Highly recommend!

My heart. I’ve been crying happy tears for the past few hours because that ending was everything I hoped for. I loved this game. I loved it deeply.

And I’m so, so glad it gave me what I desperately wanted.

So fucking good. Personal GOTY for me.
