Yesterday I fulfilled a dream and saw Stevie Winder in concert and it was as thrilling and exciting as you might imagine. He did 2.5 hours and did 28 FULL songs, no medley shit.

Fela used to make music in English then realized he was not talking to the people who he wanted to hear his music. He switched to pidgin and Yoruba exclusively. Varying the level based on the subject.
You can hear everything Billie Holliday went through in her voice.
I’ve been trying to find ways to articulate my hatred of AI-generated music that won’t come across as snobbish, but most of what I have to say about it can be boiled down to this:

None of the artists I like in any genre, regardless of era, make music that can be accurately predicted by a computer.

I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

This country seems to have a bottomless well of sympathy towards asset rich pensioners and only contempt for anyone under 50 who is putting half their income into paying their landlords fourth mortgage and a big chunk of the rest into skyrocketing bills.
Look it’s never nice to find yourself in a position of having to move when you don’t want to but given that due to the volatility of the London housing market I have had to move FIVE TIMES since 2020 I’m struggling to feel very sympathetic towards people whose ’problem’ is a paid off 2mil property.

Facts. Brexit was yet another FUCKING IDIOTIC decision of bigots spurred by emotion, rather than logic.

Racism makes people STUPID.

This is true all over the world, and especially here.

As for Farage’s use of racist slurs being confined to his childhood - well, that's not what Alan Sked, the founder of UKIP, claimed in this 2014 interview.

He says here that Farage was using the "n" word as late as 1997.

Farage would have been about 33 at time.
