I had one of those "we don't talk enough about this historical fact" moments recently. I was talking to a very STEM-y kid and they described wanting to master maths and sciences but scoffed at the arts. I had to explain that all the classical geniuses they idolize were skilled in multiple arts.

these employers live in the past. my job gives certain roles a "bonus" every christmas but like...the way things cost, the regular pay is not making ends meet. so said "bonus" becomes just help getting by. instead it feels like when, as a broke person, you get a little charity.
