My 8mo son tried raspberry for the first time tonight, and now he looks like he needs to take a steaming shower in a cheap, anonymous motel while he contemplates the decisions that led him to take a life and the water runs unforgivably red down the drain.

This. A church MAY be a group of terrible hateful people who don't care for "widows and orphans"
But their failure to provide immediately for any given person who calls them isn't proving that. It's the liberal version of "this SNAP recipient OWNS AN IPHONE!?"

I've been seeing that TikTok "social experiment" going around where the woman pretended to have a crying baby and called churches asking for formula. I'm frustrated by this "experiment" and the reaction to it on two counts.

A) the problem with the economy comes down to extreme wealth inequality and a billionaire ruling class
And
B) spending 10+ bucks a week on random little things like candy bars at checkout, lattes on the way to work DOES add up
