It's not being run off some sophisticated surveillance and intelligence operation where they track individual boats or have any indication of who's on them and what they're doing. They're just picking random small boats they spot at sea. Fishermen. Migrants. Not even from Venezuela. Doesn't matter.
so like how the fuck are they choosing targets in the Caribbean

There could be solid ICE counter-recruitment campaigns launched to discourage people from working for them and to encourage those working for them to quit. There are lots of examples of such campaigns from anti-war organizing.

Holy “parallel establishment”. “Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is sounding the alarm about the Trump administration’s approval of a new bank backed by two GOP megadonors, tech billionaires Peter Thiel and Palmer Luckey” … 1/ www.msnbc.com/top-stories/...
Trump administration gives initial approval to bank backed by GOP megadonors
Sen. Elizabeth Warren says the approval of Erebor Bank, which is linked to Peter Thiel and Palmer Luckey, is a classic example of crony capitalism.

Don’t let the frogwater that’s boiling us alive let you skip over this: we murdered another country’s citizens in cold blood, and when their leader objected, we called him a drug dealer and cut off aid to his country. That’s freakish.
Petro objected to the US bombing a Columbian fishing vessel that had the emergency beacon on because they were broken down, that we subsequently bombed. One Columbian fisherman survived the attack.

This is the official US response to Petro's comments.

Reporters like Amanda Moore @noturtlesoup17.bsky.social have been explaining that this was going on for quite some time. Nice to see its finally breaking through.
POLITICO: “.. They referred to Black people as monkeys and ‘the watermelon people’ and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies .. and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

I'd never vote for Rand Paul, but on this issue he's absolutely correct. This is a clear and profound distinction. No declaration of war. No evidence of crime. What Trump & our military is doing is mass murder. It's no different than any mass-shooting of innocents – just with bigger (military) guns.
Rand Paul: "When you kill someone, if you're not in a declared war, you really need to know someone's name at least. You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence. So all of these people have been blown up without any evidence of a crime."

Shouting match. Cursing.

And this ⤵️

Trump "adopted many of Putin’s talking points verbatim, even when they contradicted his own statements about Russia’s weaknesses..

"Trump told Zelenskyy that Putin had told him the conflict was a 'special operation, not even a war.'”

I wrote this in May and little has changed. Meetings, diplomacy, press coverage. Then Trump reverts to his core stance: Russia deserves something for its aggression, and it's like totally unfair to Putin (and Trump) that Ukraine wants freedom and is able to keep Russia from taking it away.

A farce.

Surely more people are starting to recognize that Trump is conducting foreign policy solely for his own personal gratification and profit. All he wants out of this is a "win" for himself, regardless of the true interests of Ukraine or the USA.

Oh it’s not appropriate for your program to air the president wearing a crown and shitting on American citizens?

You’ll talk about it in euphemisms? Maybe call it the “crown video” and ignore the shitting part? Because that’s appropriate?

Tell me, was it appropriate for the president to do it?
