Fact is that whether or not Platner is a Nazi (I don’t think he is), you have a fairly popular (old), two-term governor who has stood up to the Trump admin vs an outsider with a Nazi tattoo as there are actual Nazis infesting the federal gov. It’s up to who Mainers think will beat Collins in Nov ‘26

Probably the must succinct explanation of the Platner situation I’ve seen. I was excited about Platner’s campaign, but Democrats have to defeat Susan Collins to have a chance to even things up in the Senate. Surely there is another progressive in the field that the anti-Mills base could support?
