LOL.
Everything I have ever said, including telling my beagle when I was 7 that she was the best dog in the whole wide world, is heretofore and forever off the record.

Failure to abide by this edict will be referred for prosecution to Lindsey Halligan, Interim US Attorney, Eastern District of Virginia

“If you’re angry about THIS, but not about THAT—“

Bro I’m gonna have to stop you there, I am angry about so many things all of the time, I have never in my life been angry about just one thing at a time, my capacity for “things to be angry about” is as wide and as deep as the sea
Honey, you don’t want any of us cooking lunch for our local ICE agents. 😂

On the other hand…
And my (paltry) kingdom for a pic of the permit signs or a copy of the construction permits—I want to see filing dates, approval dates, scope of project.
My alma mater…

Thank you, Rep. Stanton!
Trump now wants @arizonastateuni.bsky.social to sign his compact policing education.

Here's my letter to ASU urging them to reject any offer that denigrates its academic freedoms and independence:
Gawd, I loathe that orange m’fucker.
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

One of my least rational beliefs is that if you pull off a heist without hurting anyone or getting caught within a day, that's your stuff fair and square.
Great little 🧵.
In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

Also, I’d love them to talk about the actual demographics of the “American working class.”

Stop acting like a white dude with a cabinet business and $30K boat has a more valid political grievance than say the 87% female hotel housekeeping staff making $9/hr to endure a 58% sexual harassment rate.
Do you ever wish the press would ask, “What do you mean by real Americans?” when people talk about them?

How is a Black man from Englewood, IL, any less of a “real American” than a white person from Dubuque, IA?
Awww. I still love this rainy pic from Portugal. ❤️
Dreary and rainy and cool outside (my FAVE) and I’m in my happy place, cooking, and cooking with roasted poblanos, roasted green chiles, and jalapeño. Making a green chile/poblano/jalapeño chicken soup tonight. 😋🍲
It is my favorite thing today. Just finished reading this, too, pretty great. bsky.app/profile/artc...
Today's theft from the Louvre (
art-crime.blogspot.com/2025/10/jewe...) is making me think about my favorite series of museum heists. Buckle up for a 🧵 on priceless porcelains, the Dead Zoo Gang, a Pekinese named Looty, and the unsolved mystery of who's stealing Chinese art from European museums.

if you are proud of this man leading our country, I cannot respect you on any level. the lack of class, intelligence, or taste is just stunning. pure trash

At this point, if you're interviewing a Republican about the president's latest transgression and you *don't* have the video or post or whatever cued up and ready to show them when they pretend they haven't seen it yet -- I'm just going to assume you're in on the con yourself.

I know it’s a serious story, but a break-in at the Louvre is at 9:30 AM is the most Parisian thing I’ve ever read.

It is a scandal totally unprecedented in history that the Vice President has shared a video depicting the President as king. It’s an obscene violation of every founding American principle.

And nothing will come of it. It makes me physically sick.

There has never been a day during which I did not love my country, but I cannot think of a day where I admired as many of my fellow citizens as I do right now.

“well it’s only good if people actually put in the work in between these events”

yeah and how do you think they get the motivation to do that? sitting around and posting on the internet all day about how much everything sucks doesn’t seem to be very effective
