More than a third have failed so far, four officials told me, impeding the agency’s plan to hire, train, and deploy 10,000 deportation officers by January. To pass, recruits must do 15 push-ups and 32 sit-ups, and run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes.
“It’s pathetic,” one career ICE official told me, adding that before now, a typical class of 40 recruits had only a couple of candidates fail, because the screening process was more rigorous.

Maybe someone in the nonprofit sector can confirm but I have been told nonprofits prefer recurring donations over a single donation because it makes it easier to plan resources, thus making it easier to have a larger impact.

Starting November 1st, SNAP benefits are being cut, leaving millions of people with limited or no access to food.

If you are able to help, help. Food banks also take cash donations, which allow them to fill the banks with what they know is most needed.

We are truly all we have.

Exactly. If we break it down to the county level and try those in our local communities, it’s literally a handful.

Deadass we have the highest prison population in the world. We are more than capable of locking them up. Swap them with our non-violent offenders and it won’t even cost us anything.
