imagine paying the same rent at your apartment for 5 years straight, and that it is legally binding that your rent can’t increase. pretty cool huh?

WRONG. that’s not your apartment, that’s meat. and you won’t wanna eat it in 5 years now will you??

I found out today that one of the forces pushing Trump the hardest for this Greenland shit is… the owner of Estée Lauder.

Sharing this here because they own SO MANY makeup brands and I bet a lot of you might like to join me in not repurchasing anything from this makeup brand family!

OpenAI has absolutely zero ideas. They have no business. This is not a real business line and it’s so utterly vague and specious, I’m shocked at the credulousness to just print it without saying “there is no logical way this works of course” or talking about how the CFO of OpenAI is saying nonsense

there is a real lack of understanding of what “grace” is. grace is a gift. and like all gifts it should be received in gratitude. and that gratitude must include a sincere effort to repent and make recompense for what you’ve done. anything else cheapens the gift.

And the experiment was not ethically created or run.

Gavin Newsom has never had a homeless, a working unhoused, or an affordable housing advocate on his podcast despite governing California.

So yeah I think it’s weird that he’s entertained & platformed multiple fascists while grinning, nodding & relenting to their easily defeatable talking points.

Chuck Schumer has internalized the idea that Trump represents real America and he doesn't, so he feels the only way he can also get real America to support him is if he shepherds Trump through his own madness.

That is an appalling state of affairs for an opposition party.

Wild how Gary Larson's most infamous misfire of a cartoon has been so thoroughly vindicated by subsequent developments - first by the evolution of internet humor to the point where there was an audience ready to appreciate the joke, and then by advances in bovine behavioral science.
Cow Tools!

We have lived alongside cows for nearly 10,000 years.
We breed them and exploit them

It is now, only now, that we have discovered THEY CAN USE TOOLS

Insightful point here: Even if you take Trump seriously - he does not like the optics - they rested on an assumption that communities would welcome ICE as heroes, rather than showing the type of solidarity that Trump inherently cannot understand.
Trump is privately worried about the "optics" of ICE raids and his advisers are looking for ways to soften them, Axios reports. I'm calling bullshit: The terror and violence cannot be hived off from the broader policy agenda. They are 100% intrinsic to it.

Trump’s Own Advisers Suddenly Unnerved as ICE Raids Take Horrific Turn
So the president doesn’t like the “optics” of what ICE is doing. But there’s no such thing as sanitized, popular mass deportations—and this is by design.

Fun fact: Black Panthers doing perfectly legal (at the time) open carry in CA in the 1960s spurred then-Governor Reagan to sign the Mulford Act into law in 1965, prohibiting it.

These people have no consistent politics outside a desperate, leering need to keep hold of power and privilege.
