RTD, Chibnall and Moffatt are only human beings doing a job.

Tell me your most unhinged Doctor Who opinion. I mean, if you’re a fan, they’re likely all unhinged anyway.

Graham Williams' greatest contribution to DOCTOR WHO was keeping it on the air during a time of high turmoil for the BBC - strike actions, social unrest, etc. His stories might be of mixed quality, but he did his job

If you’re a creative thinking about giving up because things feel impossible and time keeps passing without seeming like progress is being made, just remember Pedro Pascal didn’t become a household name until he was almost 50.

Same. Fantastic novel and it’s really a shame Stover never really got the career and name he deserved.

Fuck AI. It’s detrimental to the environment, it steals people’s intellectual property, and it has no fucking soul. This is so horrendous.

AI art and AI writing shouldn’t be in this space (tbh shouldn’t be anywhere). Don’t fucking use it. Work with actual artists and writers.

Part of writing is the process itself. The painstaking learning process. You have to love the process as much as you love the end result, being human means we spend our lives growing and learning. Using AI to write is a “shortcut” that ultimately benefits no one.

Getting weird, freaky, weirder, and even freakier when writing my stories has been extremely freeing and cool. Highly recommend.

With the news coming out that chatg*t will be allowed to write erotica in December, I just want to remind everyone that NSFW script writers and writers of erotica will need your support even more than ever before.

The Doctor would have become the Valeyard if the Time War hadn’t happened, but the Time War affected the Doctor so much that he changed his own future.

This is why I get so exasperated when people suggest SF written 50+ years ago as the place for new readers of the genre, especially young readers, to start with. There is SO MUCH that will throw them out of the work, from outdated tech to outdated social structures. They'll leave and not come back.

Yup was just gonna comment on this! My kids always notice how outdated computers or other technology seem when I make them rewatch e.g. original Star Wars trilogy rr something

Samuel Beckett is *cackling* in his grave. 😈

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

A thing that probably seems weird now. We didn’t know Vader had a mechanical hand till 1983. We didn’t know (for sure) that he had mechanical legs until 2005.
