There was a reference to the word "pwned" in the new Knives Out movie and it made me sad kids today don't say "you got pwned" anymore, they just say shit like "unc is washed" or "sixty seven" then steal your wallet.

Originally from Buriki ONE, based off MMA fighters and Grappler Baki but also NOT Baki but still kinda is due to his moveset
AND he fit in with the aesthetic and roster of KOFXI which is already very Rule of Cool in and of itself

my long standing issue with guest/crossover characters, as they pertain to fighting games but I guess applicable wherever now, is that it's never as cool as just making an obvious knockoff character instead.

the new defunctland does ultimately end on what I think is a pretty hopeful note, that fully automated entertainment quickly loses its appeal when there's no real human connection involved, no matter how great and earth-shaking the technology is, it'll never be as memorable as simple human moments
